In 2001 the artists Maik Schierloh and Joep van Liefland founded the independent exhibition space Autocenter in Friedrichshain. There were many international visual artists invited to present their visons, ideas and works to a art-o-phil audience. For almost ten years the Autocenter has been a place to expierence art in the fields of painting, video, photogrphy, sculptures and much more.
